Congo cancel out Senegal in CHAN Eagles group

Defending champions Senegal had to dig deep to force Congo to a 1-1 draw in a 2024 CHAN Group F tie today.

Congo stunned the defending champions in the first half, before the Senegalese salvaged a draw with an equaliser late in the second half.

Senegal still lead Group D with four points from two matches, Congo are second with two points.

Bottom team Nigeria will hope to return to reckoning with victory over Sudan later today in the second game of this group.
