Alvaro Morata may have passed a serious message to record signing Victor Osimhen after he revealed that Galatasaray did not keep to the contract he signed with them.
Morata has terminated his contract and he is now set to sign for Italian club Como.
The Spanish striker has now opened up on social media that he has had to give up part of his salary and rights even when he had earned them.
Morata praised the city of Istanbul as well as “extraordinary” Galatasaray fans, but complained of his experience with the club management.
“There were times when my word and fundamental values were not kept; until the very end commitments were not honoured to the point that I had no choice but to give up part of my salary and other contractual rights that I had already earned thanks to my work,” the striker reported.
“For me, in life and I work, there are principles that should never be broken, such as respect for everyone’s rights.
“Failure to recognise and compensate for what I earned is, for me, unacceptable and contrary to the values of fairness and professionalism in which I believe.”
Napoli insisted on bank guarantees for Galatasaray payments of the transfer fee of Osimhen, who has signed the richest contract ever in Turkish football history.
Osimhen is guaranteed a total of 21 million euros a year by Turkish champions Galatasaray.
