IFK Varnamo are bottom of the table in Sweden and now they also risk losing one of their strikers, Johnbosco Kalu, according to Fotbollskanalen
Last year he scored seven goals in the Swedish league for IFK Värnamo, who managed to stay in the Swedish league via qualifying.
This year Johnbosco Kalu has scored two goals in ten matches for the crisis club, who are currently rock bottom in the league.
He could also disappear from the Småland club – and Sweden – by the summer.
According to Fotbollskanalen, he has interest from several foreign clubs, where offers have also been received. One of the clubs that has made such an offer is said to be Israeli Beitar Jerusalem.
This is in turn something that Värnamo’s sports director, Jörgen Petersson, confirms. At least that offers have been received and that there is great interest in the Nigerian.
“We have received sharp inquiries from a couple of clubs and we are further along than just inquiries. But we do not agree with any club until everything is on paper,” Petersson told Fotbollskanalen.
However, he does not want to comment on whether Beitar Jerusalem are one of the clubs.
“I prefer not to comment on clubs,” he simply said.
