Samuel Chukwueze has expressed his excitement after he returned to training with Villarreal as La Liga gets set to resume following the break caused by the Coronavirus crisis.
La Liga resumed squad training Tuesday with teams allowed a maximum of 10 players to train together as they begin preparation for a restart of the competition which was suspended in March.
La Liga is fixed for a return on June 12 after Spain suffered over 27,000 deaths due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
“Good to be back,” Chukwueze tweeted.
He wore protective hand gloves as part of the protocol to stay safe.
Before the season was discontinued, the 20-year-old winger had scored three goals in 26 appearances.
Villarreal are eighth on the table with 38 points after 27 matches.
The La Liga club are also been investigated by police for match-fixing along with Getafe after both teams played out a 2-2 draw on the final day of last season.
Chukwueze was not listed for the game in question.
