AC Milan winger Samuel Chukwueze is now a major doubt for the Super Eagles must-win 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin after he suffered a hamstring injury.
Chukwueze had to be taken off at half time during Milan 5-1 thumping of Cagilari over the weekend, after which he underwent tests to determine the extent of his injury.
It has now been revealed that the exciting winger picked up a hamstring injury on his left thigh, according to Sky Italia.
Chukwueze, who has been inconsistent for the Super Eagles, was not involved in friendlies against Ghana and Mali in March, when Finidi took charge of the team in a temporary capacity.
