Samuel Chukwueze has offered hope he will be fit in time for the UEFA Europa League Final after injury forced him out of the semifinal return leg at Arsenal.
Chukwueze was stretchered off in the 29th minute Thursday night as Villarreal held on for a scoreless draw in London to go through to the Final in Gdansk, Poland, 2-1 on aggregate.
Villarreal will now do battle with another Premier League side, Manchester United, on May 26.
“To the finals, can’t wait to be back soon,” Chukwueze rejoiced on Instagram with several emojis to display his feelings.
“Thank you all for your messages.”
He will later join the rest of the squad unaided to celebrate his team’s passage to the Final at the expense of one of the tournament favourites.
