Chuba Akpom and Cyriel Dessers were on target to lift their respective clubs in the UEFA Europa League.
Akpom grabbed a brace for Ajax Amsterdam to beat AEK of Greece 3-1, while Dessers scored a goal and provided an assist for Rangers to win at Real Betis.
Akpom has now scored seven goals for Ajax after a rather difficult start to life with the Dutch giants.
“How did I get this good form? I have quite a strong mentality. Every minute I give my 100%. Everybody at the club helped me. I love my teammates, they are good guys!,” the former Arsenal ace explained.
Ajax will now continue in Europe in the New Year in the UEFA Conference League.
Super Eagles striker Dessers also netted a fantastic solo goal as well as provided an assist at La Liga side Real Betis for Rangers to win Group C of the Europa League with 11 points from six matches.
