Bassey, fresh from the recent AFCON, put Fulham in front in the 65th minute, when with his second attempt he fired past goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Iwobi made up for several spurned chances when he popped up in stoppage time to wrong foot Onana for the match winner.
This was United 10th defeat of the season, while it was the London club’s first victory at Old Trafford in 21 years.
