Enugu Rangers defeated group leaders Pyramids FC 1-0, while Enyimba were held to a 1-1 draw by Morocco’s Hassania Agadir in another group game of the CAF Confederation Cup.
Rangers final Group A match will be at home against Al Masry of Egypt, while Enyimba are second in Group D with seven points and play away at San Pedro of Cote d’Ivoire in their final game.
Ifeanyi George netted the winning goal for Rangers in the 73rd minute in Egypt.
That was after the striker missed an empty net in the first half.
Despite the shock home loss Pyramids have advanced to the quarterfinal of the Confederation Cup.
The star-studded Egyptian club dominated the game against Nigerians but poor finishing robbed them of a big home win.
In Aba, Hassania Agadir stunned the home fans as early as the second minute through Youssef Alfahli, before Augustine Oladapo restored parity for Enyimba on 16 minutes.
Hassania Agadir have also qualified to the knockout rounds of the annual competition.
