Newly-promoted Premier League club Brentford have forked out 10 Million Euros to sign midfielder Frank Onyeka from sister club FC Midtjylland.
According to transfer market, Brentford paid this fee for the 23-year-old Onyeka, whose market value is put at six Million Euros.
It is a record transfer for both Brentford and Midtjylland.
The midfielder has signed a contract for five years till June 30, 2026, after he received his UK work permit.
“I am looking forward to getting Frank in the building. We think he is a strong addition to the squad, and we are looking forward to working with him. He is a very dynamic player,” said Brentford manager Thomas Frank.
Both Brentford and Midtjylland are owned by the same man – Matthew Benham.
Onyeka has been at Midtjylland since 2016.
