Innocent Bonke caught the eye in the heart of the Malmo midfield as the Swedish club advanced to the money-spinning group stage of the UEFA Champions League at the expense of Ludogorets of Bulgaria for the first time in six years.
Malmo last featured in the group phase of the Champions League in the 2015/16 season.
Bonke, 25, earned lavish praise for his solid display in defensive midfield as Malmo defended a 2-0 home leg lead in Bulgaria.
It was his sventh appearance in the Champions League qualifying rounds.
His contract will run out in December and it is left to be seen if he will agree an extension and walk away a free agent.
The Swedish club advanced to the group stage 3-2 on aggregate after they lost 2-1 Tuesday night.
