Norwegian club Bodo/Glimt have stayed on course for a UEFA Europa League jackpot of about 5 million Euros thanks in part to a goal by Victor Boniface.
The Norwegian league leaders will earn as much as 50 million Norwegian Krone (about 5 million Euros) should they reach the group stage of the Europa League.
Fellow Norwegian club Sarpsborg 08 pocketed more than 60 million Krone when they featured in the mini-league stage of the Europa League in 2018.
On Thursday night, Bodo/Glimt advanced to the next round of the UEFA Europa League at the expense of Kauno Zalgiris of Lithuania.
Boniface scored in the 79th minute as Bodo/Glimt romped to a 6-1 win.
Fellow Nigerian, Emmanuel David, featured for the Lithuanian club.
