Belgian champions Club Brugge will sanction midfielder Raphael Onyedika after he insulted fans of Antwerp recently.
Onyedika was involved in a testy duel in the league game, which ended in a goalless draw, and at time raised his middle finger to insult the fans of the other team.
The league organisers overlooked the incidence, but not Club Brugge.
The nature of the sanctions has not been made public after the club insisted they will handle it internally.
Defending champions Club Brugge are fourth in the standings, 20 points adrift of leaders Genk.
