Awoniyi Union Berlin Bundesliga record scorer

Taiwo Awoniyi has become the Union Berlin player to score the most goals in the Bundesliga after he netted against Hertha Berlin at the weekend.

The opening goal in the Berlin Derby against Hertha was his eighth goal of the season and when you add his five goals last season while on loan from Liverpool, Awoniyi now has 13 goals in the Bundesliga for Union Berlin.

His has thus eclipsed the record of Max Kruse, who has so far scored 12 goals in 31 appearances.
