Chidozie Awaziem has teamed up with Super Eagles teammate Kenneth Omeruo at CD Leganes on loan from FC Porto.
Awaziem enjoyed a solid outing at the recent AFCON in Egypt, but he has failed to establish himself at Portuguese giants FC Porto.
He has previously been shipped out on loan to FC Nantes in France and Bursaspor of Turkey.
Speculations were rife he could return to Turkey for the new season on another loan spell before he completed the deal to La Liga.
At the AFCON the central defender showed his versatility by playing at right back in the absence of Shehu Abdullahi.
