Arokodare has been praised for his current form after he was for long derided for not scoring enough goals for Genk.
The big striker fired twice for Genk to dump champions Antwerp 3-0.
Former Antwerp star Patrick Goots said the Nigerian centre-forward has proved his class.
“If you score two goals in such a short time, you are of course a fantastic substitute. I immediately noticed that he came onto the field with a lot of aggressiveness and intensity,” Goots told Het Belang van Limburg after his brace against Antwerp.
“With someone like him, your team also has a super strong weapon. He is big, has strong headers, reasonably fast and can score a goal. Actually, he has all the qualities a striker should have.”
Tolu has been involved in a goal every 65 minutes, according to the latest statistics.
“Impressive figures,” remarked Goots. “And yet for the time being he has to content himself with substitute appearances.
“That won’t be easy, as a striker you always want to be at the kick-off. But that is of course the trainer’s choice, (Yira) Sor is also doing very well at the moment. Arokodare has to deal with that, he has to keep working hard.”
