Tolu Arokodare has said he is delighted Genk beat Anderlecht 2-1 to get themselves firmly back into contention in the Belgian Playoff Championship.
The striker scored his 11th league goal this season to inspire a massive home win over leaders Anderlecht.
“Great atmosphere in the stadium. We dominated the entire match. To be fair, they did score a nice goal, but it was a bit of deja vu,” Arokodare told Sporza.
“We got a penalty, but this time it wasn’t cancelled. Happy for the team and the city.”
Genk are now third in the standings, just four points behind the table toppers Anderlecht.
They will therefore be interested in today’s clash between Club Brugge and second-placed Union St.Gilloise.
