Sheffield United have followed Wolverhampton Wanderers to table a bid for IFK Goteborg midfielder Alhassan Yusuf, according to various reports.
According to ‘Goteborg-Posten’, Sheffield United made an initial bid of 1.5 million Euros for the former FC Hearts star, which his Swedish club rejected.
IFK demanded for 3.5 million Euros and reports said United could even pay more.
Sheffield United have oil dollars going for them and they could loan out the player to Belgium, where they own a club in the lower league.
Towards the end of the last summer transfer window, the newspaper also reported Wolverhampton Wanderers interest for the same player.
Wolves were then reported to be willing to splash 7 million Euros for the hard working midfielder.
The 19-year-old Alhassan was last season named the Young Player of the Year in Sweden.
