Anderlecht sports director Peter Verbeke has said he is thrilled to have completed the move of Paul Omo Mukairu on transfer deadline day.
Mukairu, 20, has moved from Turkish Super Lig club Antalyaspor on loan till the end of the season with option for Anderlecht to make the transfer permanent.
“We have been closely monitoring the development of Paul Mukairu through our scouts for a few months now,” a delighted Verbeke told the Anderlecht website
“Paul is a 20-year-old versatile Nigerian forward with great potentials. He combines strength and speed and shows a lot of good things on the ball.
“Paul is not yet the finished article, but he is someone we can work with.”
Belgian clubs Mouscron and OH Leuven failed to hijack this deal, while several Serie A clubs were also in the running for the exciting forward.
Mukairu, who could play as a striker or winger, is now expected in Belgium shortly after he would have completed all the necessary administrative processes.
