Top Belgian club Anderlecht have joined the race for Babatunde Akomolede, who was named MVP of the 2024 Gothia Cup.
Aston Villa, Everton, Hammarby, Tromso, Feyenoord and Ajax are also mentioned as clubs interested in the 17-year-old Sporting Lagos defender, whose log throws caught the eye at the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
“It is normal that clubs in Europe want to sign him after such a performance. We have received calls from these teams and negotiations will start soon,” a Sporting Lagos board member told SportsBoom.
