Ademola Lookman will lead Atalanta when they take on European Champions Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday.
Lookman was the star who brought Atalanta to this stage after his memorable Europa League final hat-trick pushed them all the way to overcoming unbeaten Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen last season.
He has now sounded his confidence ahead of the challenge clash.
“Wonderful, these are the games you want to play since you were a child. Finally the moment has come, we won the Europa League and we will now play for another trophy,” he told Tribal Sports.
“We can’t wait, we are preparing with obsessive attention. So yes, we will be ready!
“We don’t need great motivation, we will face a top team and it’s an appointment with history.
They are the greatest team in the world in football, it will be an exciting chapter, an exciting opportunity for everyone. We can’t wait to hear it.”
The Super Eagles forward has been named in the travelling squad to Poland for the final and has also retained his jersey number “11” from last season.
