Ambitious Ligue 1 team Stade Rennes have targeted Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori either on loan or on permanent transfer, according to latest reports.
The 22-year-old Tomori, who is eligible to play internationally for Nigeria, England or Canada, was very much part of the Chelsea first team at the start of the past season, but he has since been dropped to the bench.
Rennes are shopping for a defender under new sports director Florian Maurice and so are now tracking the young Chelsea ace, according to L’Equipe.
Tomori is highly-rated and even won a full international cap against Kosovo last year.
He has variously played on loan in the English Championship with Brighton, Hull City and Derby County.
