Officials told SCORENigeria that they will not rush the midfielder back to action.
“It’s a gradual process and the team want the boy to be back fully,” a source revealed.
The win over AFCON host nation Cote d’Ivoire has also bought some time for the team as regards the Antwerp star.
It is now likely he will be fully ready for the Round of 16.
The players who did not play Thursday against Cote d’Ivoire as well as those who had few minutes hit the gym this morning.
