IFK Gothenburg star Alhassan Yusuf could well strut his stuff in the Premier League via a stint at Swiss club Grasshopper, SCORENigeria has been specially informed.
Yusuf, 19, is a transfer target of Premier League clubs Wolverhampton Wanderers and Sheffield United after a breakthrough season in Sweden last year.
Wolves submitted a bid of seven million Euros on the table, while Sheffield United were ready to put up half that sum.
Wolves’ Chinese owners have now bought Grasshopper and there is a possibility they could get their man by farming him out to the Swiss club before he eventually ends up in the Premier League.
“It’s a possibility that has been considered, we just have to wait and see when the transfer window re-opens across Europe,” a source close to the player informed SCORENigeria
IFK are already resigned to losing the versatile midfielder, who was named Young Player of the Year in Sweden for last year.
