Alhassan Yusuf has bagged an improved contract which will now be till 2022 with IFK Gothenburg admitting they could receive a bid for the star midfielder this summer.
Yusuf, 19, has already been linked with Premier League clubs Wolves and Sheffield United.
SCORENigeria recently reported that Sweden’s Young Player of the Year is being tracked by Ajax and FC Copenhagen.
“We have extended his contract till the summer of 2022,” IFK Gothenburg sports director Kennet Andersson told Gothenburg Post about the player’s contract situation.
The top IFK official also commented on speculations surrounding Yusuf’s future.
We do not discuss rumours and such, but we think that something may come up. The market is beginning to get started,” Andersson said.
“Yes (something may come this summer). It could be so for more players, but it looks like he (Yusuf) is hot.”
