Jerome Akor has told SCORENigeria he is eagerly looking forward to tomorrow’s Ligue 1 clash against Nice as he will come face-to-face with fellow Nigeria striker Terem Moffi.
“It’s going to be a great game and I know many fans back in Nigeria will be tuned in to the game,” he told SCORENigeria
“Moffi has done very well in Ligue 1 and he’s one of the top strikers here now.
“What has achieved in France has inspired players like me coming behind.”
Nice are top of the Ligue 1 standings with 25 points after 11 matches with Moffi their leading scorer with three goals.
Montpellier are adrift on 13th position with 11 points from 10 matches despite Akor being their leading scorer with seven goals.
“We need to win to climb up the table,” said Akor after Montpellier suffered a 3-0 loss at champions PSG last week.
“We now have to pick ourselves up after the loss at Parc des Princes (vs PSG) for us to fight to get to where we rightly belong.”
Nice have won their last four games, while Montpellier have been up and down.
