Various media reports have suggested top Bundesliga club Werder Bremen will soon decide on which of the Nigerian strikers between Jerome Akor and Chuba Akpom they will sign this summer.
Bremen have already watched Akor in action for his Norwegian club Lillestrom.
“The hottest striker in Norway” Akor, 23, has scored seven goals in as many league matches in the new season.
The Bundesliga club other transfer option is Akpom, who was recently voted the best player in the English Championship.
He scored 28 goals in the English second-tier this past season even though Middlesbrough failed to clinch promotion to the Premier League.
The former Arsenal ace has previously played in Greece and Belgium.
Akor is four years younger and he will cost far less than Akpom, who has pledged his international allegiance to the Super Eagles after he has represented England where he was born.
