Opeyemi Ajakaye has bagged a second straight Player of the Match Award after she helped the Flamingoes to qualify to the quarterfinal of the U17 Women’s World Cup in India.
Nigeria beat Chile 2-1 to finish runners-up in Group B.
The hard working FC Robo striker provided the assist for the opening goal.
In the 73rd minute, Ajakaye was unlucky not to finally get her name on the scoreboard when her rasping effort came off the crossbar.
She has yet to get off the mark in India after she netted six goals in the qualifiers.
