Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa grabbed the match winner for Fatih Karagumruk to climb to ninth on the Turkish Super Lig table with a crucial victory at champions Istanbul Basaksehir.
The 29-year-old Musa justified his role as top striker with the winning goal in this Istanbul Derby four minutes to halftime.
It was his second goal of the league season after he scored on his debut in August.
He has now made 21 appearances for the promoted club thus far.
Fatih Karagumruk ran away 2-1 winners.
