Paul Onuachu, who was ruled out of the AFCON by injury, has become the first Nigeria star to be crowned the best player in Belgium.
Onuachu has been named the winner of the Belgium Golden Boot for 2021.
This followed his goals for Genk both this season and the previous campaign.
Last season, he netted 35 goals in all competitions.
He was voted ahead of the Club Brugge duo of Noa Lang and Charles De Ketelaere, who were favourites to clinch the most prestigious individual award in Belgian football.
