The coast is now clear for Adam Mouktar Mohammed to be elected the new chairman of the FCT Football Association ahead of incumbent Musa Talle tomorrow.
Another chairmanship aspirant, Godwin Bamigboye, has reportedly pulled out of the race and he may now seek legal redress after he faulted the processes leading up to the much-awaited polls.
A special investigation has further revealed that the FCT FA vice-chairman Mouktar Mohammed has received overwhelming support from the majority of the 15 delegates, who will vote tomorrow in Kuje.
He has enjoyed a high approval rating after he visited all the local councils to reveal his focus and targets for FCT FA when he is elected into office.
It was further reported that Talle, a civil servant, has not exactly endeared himself with the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after he attempted to slug it out with Ahmed Yusuf ‘Fresh’ from North Central in last year’s elections in Katsina.
He will later step down after pressure was brought to bear on him.
He has been bossing the FCT football federation for the past eight years with observers most critical of his stewardship.
“He has nothing to show for the eight years he has been chairman,” one of the influential delegates told SCORENigeria
“There is therefore a serious need for a change of leadership if FCT FA is to forge ahead.”
