Ifunanyachi Achara emerged man-of-the-match and match winner on his professional debut for Major League Soccer (MLS) side Toronto FC in their 1-0 win over New York City FC.
The 22-year-old striker, who had his 11th minute goal ruled offside, scored with a header in the 81st minute to settle the game for Toronto FC Saturday
Achara enjoyed a stellar pre-season, with three goals in four matches.
He spent four seasons at Georgetown University, where he captained his side to an NCAA National Championship this fall.
He had six goals and five assists in 15 appearances this year.
