The rock city of Abeokuta will stage the WAFU B U17 tournament, which will serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2026 U17 AFCON, officials have informed SCORENigeria
This will be the first time that Nigeria will host the competition.
The U17 AFCON qualifiers, which will draw Ghana, Togo, Benin, Niger, Cote d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso, will be played in September.
The Golden Eaglets under coach Manu Garba placed third at last year’s sub-regional tournament after they defeated hosts Ghana in the classification match.
