Paul Onuachu’s scoring run and Genk winning streak were tonight ended by a fired-up Anderlecht, who paraded another Nigerian star, Paul Mukairu.
Anderlecht shot to fourth place on the Belgian league table on the back of a deserved 1-0 home win over high-riding Genk.
They now have 26 points from 16 matches, five points behind leaders Genk.
This was a clash between two Pauls – big Paul of Genk and small Paul of Anderlecht.
Both started the game with Paul Mukairu getting his fourth straight start.
Onauchu could not add to his 14-goal haul and was booked in the second half.
Mukairu lasted 83 minutes and posted a solid outing to help Anderlecht to record a massive result that moved them four places up the table.
