The Flying Eagles have suffered a massive body blow in the U20 AFCON WAFU B qualifiers in Benin after two of their star wingers, Chisom Orji and Olawale Farayola, tested positive for Coronavirus and will miss the remainder of the tournament.
Officials informed SCORENigeria that both players have since been quarantined.
Left winger Orji, for one, started the opening Group B clash against Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday, which ended in a 1-1 draw.
His absence has let in Plateau United ace Nenrot Silas to start against Ghana this afternoon.
Nigeria need to win today to stay alive in the qualifying tournament for the U20 AFCON in Mauritania next year.
