Kelechi Iheanacho has continued to fire the goals after at a time it looked like Leicester City will let go of him after a slump in form.
Who are the other top Nigerian performers at the weekend?
Rasheedat Ajibade
The Super Falcons striker got off to a flying start to life in Norway after she scored for Avaldsnes IL in a 5-2 win over Lyn. There will most certainly be more from where this has come.
Alhassan Yusuf
The box-to-box midfielder has continued to improve his chances of a big-money transfer away from IFK Gothenburg with a Man-of-the-match display against AIK Solna. IFK needed a stoppage time winner against AIK, but nobody was in doubt about the five-star display of Yusuf on the day.
Nnamdi Ofoborh
The Flying Eagles midfielder produced a stunning strike for Wycombe Wanderers to beat Fleetwood Town 4-1 in the semifinal first leg League One playoffs. Ofoborh is on loan from Premier League club Bournemouth.
‘Simy’ Nwankwo
He fired a treble for Crotone to down Serie B leaders Benevento 3-0 and enhance his team’s chances to return to the Italian top flight. He has now scored 16 goals to underline his class in front of goal. He could also make history if he finished as top scorer in the Italian second-tier league after he did same in Portugal a few years ago.
Kelechi Iheanacho
The striker scored his 10th goal in all competitions this season after his effort in a 3-0 home win over Crystal Palace. He has now scored in two straight games to show he still has a role at Leicester City to douse speculations he will be let go. Iheanacho is a lot more focused now and the result is there for all to see.
