Terem Moffi, who has become a very popular transfer target after a stunning start to life at KV Kortrijk, has said he hopes after his apprenticeship in Belgium, he could move to either La Liga or Ligue 1.
In January, Moffi, 21, signed a contract of three and half years with Kortrijk, but he could now even be released from this agreement as early as this summer transfer window.
The striker revealed that he had several options after he netted 20 goals in Lithuania last year, but chose Belgium because from there he would get to a major league faster.
“I could go to Sweden, Norway and Israel. But I chose Belgium because I can get into the big leagues faster from here,” he told HLN recently.
And when asked which of the major league he would wish to ply his trade after Belgium, he replied: “France, Spain … We’ll see.”
His father, Leo Moffi, who himself played professional football in Nigeria for many years, had also told SCORENigeria he hopes to see his son move to Spain or France.
In the close season, Turkish champions Galatasaray, Ligue 1 sides Rennes, Stade Reims, Saint Etienne, Lorient as well as Anderlecht and most recently Glasgow Rangers have been linked to the rampaging centre-forward.
Kortrijk have said they will be open to let him go, if they got “a crazy” offer for him.
