Calvin Bassey will be a massive signing for Manchester United, according to a former chief scout of the Premier League giants.
Bassey has recently been linked to Manchester United as his current contract at Fulham will run out next summer.
Football Insider reported that former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown believes the Fulham defender could be tempted by a move to Old Trafford if the club decided to make an official approach.
Brown said it is not surprising that Bassey is on the United radar, as he has the qualities they are looking to bring in.
He added that they want a left-sided defender because it is an area where they are weak, and that Bassey would be an upgrade on the players they have.
Brown also stated that while Fulham will not want to let him go, he thinks there is a chance the player could be tempted to leave if United made a good offer.
