Super Eagles defender Zaidu Sanusi is poised to quit Portuguese champions FC Porto for a lucrative transfer to Saudi Arabia.
Sources close to Zaidu said he is now poised to join Al Qadisiya as he is in the final year of his contract at Porto.
It is reported that discussions for a potential two-year extension have stalled because of the player’s salary demands.
In recent hours, Al Qadisiya’s executives have held talks with the FC Porto board, and the board is open to a possible departure this summer.
The Portuguese club are asking for a transfer fee of 10 million euros.
The site Transfermarkt lists Sanusi’s market value at 3 million euros.
The 29-year-old Nigerian international has been capped 32 times and joined Porto in August 2020.
There had been previous reports that Atalanta Bergamo and Leeds United were interested in the player.
