Falconets captain Joy Igbokwe is one of several players denied visa to enter Poland for next month’s U20 Women’s World Cup.
The Falconets flew out from Abuja to Poland Monday.
SCORENigeria broke the news that only 15 players were granted visa by the Polish embassy.
It has now been learnt that the NFF plan to use another European embassy to see whether the players denied visa could still make it to the World Cup.
This also comes at a time Benfica have ordered striker Janet ‘Semenya’ Akekoromowei, who is on the final 21-person squad, back to Portugal after they claimed she was not properly released by them.
The player has since sent a passionate letter to FIFA to intervene in her situation.
The World Cup kicks off September 5 with Nigeria playing their opening game against Spain two days later.
