Victor Osimhen has admitted Galatasaray were disappointed after a home draw with promoted Corum FK on opening day of the Turkish Super Lig, while also commenting on rumours about his future.
Galatasaray needed a late equaliser through a header by Osimhen to hold Corum to a 2-2 draw Friday night to open the new season in Turkey.
The two-goal hero said the draw in front of the home fans was a wake-up call for champions Galatasaray.
“The match was a complete disappointment. We need to wake up from this moment. We are experiencing this disappointment as a team,” said Osimhen after the game.
“Knowing that all the upcoming matches will be difficult, we will continue on our path by improving ourselves.
“I am ready to give everything for the club.”
The Super Eagles striker’s future is again up in the air with Arsenal the latest Premier League interested in signing him.
However, he maintained he is focused on Galatasaray.
“There are always rumours during transfer seasons. I’ll focus on my job. I’m focused on my work. We’ll see and think about the future when that time comes,” he insisted.
