Flying Eagles goalkeeper Clinton Lawani has predicted victory ahead of Sunday’s WAFU B U20 AFCON championship final against Burkina Faso with only the winners progressing to next year’s U20 AFCON in Ghana.
This is a rematch after Burkina Faso stopped the Flying Eagles 2-0 in a Group B clash.
“We will come back home with the trophy,” promised Sporting Lagos first-choice shot stopper Lawani.
“Nigerians should keep supporting and praying for us.”
Lawani saved two penalties Wednesday for the Flying Eagles to eliminate hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the semifinal of the sub-regional championship.
