Spain are champions of the world for the second time after they beat Argentina 1-0 in tonight’s final of the 2026 World Cup.
Substitute Ferran Torres scored the cup winner in extra time for Spain to win their second World Cup after their first triumph in 2010 in South Africa.
Spain were deserved winners against Argentina, who had goalkeeper Emilio Martinez to thank for keeping them in this final until that 106th minute strike by Torres.
The European champions are now unbeaten in 38 matches.
