One-time Super Eagles caretaker coach Salisu Yusuf could well be on his way back to the country’s U23 team after he parted ways with Coton Sport of Benin Republic.
The experienced Salisu Yusuf was the last head coach of the U23s, failing to qualify them to the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has now been appointed to lead the U23 team with a proviso to include a number of local coaches on his support staff.
Salisu Yusuf previously worked under Gernot Rohr in the Super Eagles.
Top sources informed SCORENigeria that Yusuf has already met in Abuja with some top officials in respect of the U23 post.
