Anthony Nwakaeme could not have hoped for a better farewell from Trabzonspor after he lifted the Turkish Cup with them on his final appearance for them.
“We won the cup. I told my teammates that we had a very good season and that we needed to win the cup,” he said.

He was presented a special appreciation plaque by the club after the cup triumph.
Nwakaeme, 37, joined Trabzonspor in 2018 from Israel and soon became a cult hero.
He played a major role when they were crowned champions of Turkey in 2022.
After a brief stint in Saudi Arabia,he returned to Trabzonspor in 2024.
This season he scored a goal and made three assists in 21 appearances.
