The consistency and high-level displays of one-time Super Eagles invitee Anthony Dennis are expected to be rewarded in the summer with a major transfer as Turkish giants Besiktas top of the list of suitors for the defensive midfielder.
After signing Benin star Junior Olaitan from Göztepe in the mid-season window, Beşiktaş now plan to approach the club again in the summer for Anthony Dennis.
The team reportedly want to acquire the 21-year-old midfielder due to his dynamic and versatile playing style.
However, Beşiktaş are not the only club interested; according to reports, the Spanish club Villarreal and German Bundesliga side Mainz have been following the player.
Dennis joined Göztepe from HB Abuja in January 2023.
Göztepe’s valuation for Dennis is understood to be approximately 10 million Euros, and the club plan to listen to all offers at the end of the season.
Intense negotiations are expected to take place during the summer transfer period.
The player’s contract with the Turkish club runs until June 2027, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €8.00m.
In the current 2025/2026 Süper Lig season, Dennis has made 24 appearances, scoring three goals.
