The father of Alex Iwobi has confirmed the SCORENigeria Exclusive that the Super Eagles star’s London home was burgled at knifepoint as widely reported.
SCORENigeria first reported that Iwobi was one of the early birds at the Super Eagles camp in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of friendlies against World Cup-bound Iran and Jordan, and that he has also dismissed as “fake news” the burglary story.
Journalist Colin Udoh reported on X: “I have just spoken to Chuka Iwobi, and he says there is absolutely no truth to reports that his son @alexiwobi was burgled.
“His words: “Alex is fine and there was absolutely no attempt to burgle his house. He left for Turkey this morning in preparation for the friendlies.
“It’s so annoying that a person can actually spread such falsehood just for a few clicks.
“I’ve been inundated by calls and enquiries from well wishes and have spent unnecessary time explaining that this is a made up story.”
