Gernot Rohr has still not met with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) over an extension to his contract as Super Eagles coach.
Rohr’s contract will run out in June.
The Franco-German coach was expected to have agreed a new deal in January ahead of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone, which have since been postponed on account of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Rohr has been quoted as saying he is still waiting for an offer from the NFF, but will not beg to continue as Nigeria coach.
Top NFF officials had said they will offer Rohr a deal that will ensure he resides more in Nigeria and also works more with players from the domestic league.
Rohr has often gone several months without pay, while critics have faulted his tactics and selections.
The former Bayern Munich defender first took charge of the Super Eagles in 2016 on an initial two-year contract.
He qualified the country to the 2018 World Cup and was also in charge of the team, when they placed third at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
He has previously handled Gabon, Niger and Burkina Faso, among other teams.
