Victor Osimhen has lately been linked to several top European clubs like PSG, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Atletico Madrid and now the legendary Thierry Henry has proposed him to Catalan giants Barcelona.
“Barcelona need a true number 9, a top-level striker. I’m talking about fantastic goal scorers like Victor Osimhen, Erling Haaland, and Harry Kane,” former Barcelona star Henry told Spanish publication Sport
Spanish newspaper Fichajes reported that Osimhen will have many suitors during the transfer period.
It was emphasized that the star striker would be one of the most talked-about names during the summer transfer window:
“Victor Osimhen is attracting attention with his high efficiency in both the league and the Champions League while wearing the Galatasaray jersey,” the newspaper reported.
“The Nigerian striker, with his contribution of 15 goals and 5 assists throughout the season, is carrying his team in the title race, and his performance has put him on the radar of European giants.
“If this level is maintained, Osimhen is expected to be one of the most talked-about names of the summer transfer window.”
This season, Osimhen, 27, has netted 15 goals and made five assists in 23 appearances for Galatasaray in all competitions.
His contract with the Turkish champions is up in June 2029.
