The Super Eagles have become a united family in coach Eric Chelle’s one year in charge of the team, according to midfield star Alex Iwobi.
“For me, I feel the difference (at this AFCON) is the family environment…there’s unity. The coach has brought that out in us,” the Fulham star said ahead of tomorrow’s night AFCON semifinal against hosts Morocco in Rabat.
Iwobi himself has transformed from a player who was hugely criticised at the 2023 AFCON to one who has been roundly praised for the team’s attacking prowess in Morocco.
Coach Eric Chelle has only praise for Iwobi, who is set to win his 96th cap tomorrow.
“He has a high IQ,” he remarked.
“He smells football…I’m so proud of him.”
